“Am I Actually the Strongest“ is a series of Japanese light novels authored by Sai Sumimori. The series was first published on the novel posting website Shōsetsuka ni Narō in September 2018. Later, Kodansha acquired the series and began publishing it in print with illustrations by Ai Takahashi.”
Episode 1: “Starting at Rock Bottom After Reincarnation”
Am I Actually the Strongest In this first Episode, hikikomori is reincarnated into a world with superior magic and awakens as Prince Reinhardt. His magic level is only 02, but his true power level is 1002. Reinhardt discovers Barrier magic has various uses and defeats a Flame Fenrir named Flay. He takes Flay as his familiar and claims to be Demon Lord Haruto to hide his royal lineage. Count Gold Zenfris adopts Haruto as his son and Flay as his servant. Nine years later, Haruto lives with Gold, his mother, and sister Charlotte.
Episode 2: “Char Hates Me”
Am I Actually the Strongest In this 2nd episode, Gold returns from a failed raid on a bandit hideout with 100 injured men. Haruto secretly heals the injured men. That night, Haruto and Flay leave to take revenge on the bandits. Char accidentally sees them flying away. Haruto learns that the bandits are soldiers from a neighboring Empire. They were sent to create chaos in the Kingdom with the help of a treasonous high-ranking Kingdom official. Haruto anonymously sends all the information to Gold in a letter.

It turns out that Char has magical potential that surpasses the Queen’s power, making her a threat. Haruto realizes that the Queen, who is his birth mother Gizelotte, must be evil.
Episode 5: “Strongest in the World”
Haruto defeats Gizelotte, puts a slave collar on her, and leaves. Five years pass without further attempts. Haruto must attend the magic academy to make friends with Marianne and Laius. He sends his barrier clone instead hoping for a justified expulsion.
Episode 6: “I Need to Find an Attendant…!”
Haruto suddenly remembers that he needs to find a new attendant to accompany him to the academy. He decides to visit Pandemonium, which is a secret village located in the mountains. The village is home to the skeleton army of the mages Gizelotte sent to assassinate Char, including the golem Gigan. After five years, the skeletons have developed personalities and they now consider Haruto as their savior. Gigan, who was thought to be a male golem, is a shy young female. The chief of the village, Johnny, tells Haruto that with Flay’s help, they have started taking in other monsters that had nowhere else to live.
Episode 7: “Meeting of the Round Table”
Am I Actually the Strongest In this 7th episode,Liza starts working as a maid with Flay. However, Flay is surprised to see that Liza is a perfect maid without any training. Soon, Liza becomes Char’s maid and also teaches her magic. Haruto is impressed by Liza’s skills and wants to make her his attendant, but he doesn’t want to take her away from Char. When Char learns that Haruto is going to attend the academy, she gathers her Round Table Knights (Flay, Liza, Johnny, and Gigan) to plan how to protect him.
Episode 8: “A New Encounter”
Laius wants a rematch with Haruto. Marianne has a crush on Haruto. The Lucifyra Church cultists aim to overthrow the monarchy. Laius fears Gizelotte is using the cult to get rid of Jilq. Marianne hopes Haruto can help, while Laius seeks the black knight. Gizelotte attacks Marianne and orders Laius to become Haruto’s friend. Laius feels guilty for putting Haruto in danger. Haruto saves travelers from a similar monster and meets Irisphilia. He registers with his classmates but doesn’t fit in, then teleports back home to recover.
Episode 9: “The Entrance Ceremony Hullabaloo”
Am I Actually the Strongest In this 9th episode,Haruto-C informs Haruto that they must pass an exam before the entrance ceremony. Haruto decides to intentionally fail the exam and get expelled from the school. However, when the ancient magic researcher Doctor Luseiannel measures his magic, it explodes the crystal sensor. She correctly deduces that Haruto has so much magic that the crystal couldn’t handle it. She approves his acceptance into the school and offers to become his advisor, but he refuses, believing that she is mocking his low magic level.
Episode 10: “The Demon King’s Name”
Luseiannel explains that first-year students have to choose between Knight or Research classes. However, both Laius and Marianne want Haruto to join their respective classes. When Irisphilia appears, Haruto decides to join her ancient magic research class, which happens to be taught by Luseiannel as well. Flay believes that Haruto is the reincarnation of the previous Demon Lord, but Haruto just nicknames Irisphilia as Iris. Char is happy that Haruto is starting to build a harem of wives, and Haruto promises to help Iris work hard.
Episode 11: “I Got Myself Mixed Up with So Many People…”
Am I Actually the Strongest In this 11th episode,Haruto and Iris are in different classrooms. After taking a C class exam, Haruto was promoted to A class due to his excellent performance and the cutting-edge theory he presented. Professor Belkam is impressed with Haruto’s work and thinks he is a genius. However, Haruto soon realizes that he must be careful as he is Char, a person who can switch bodies with others when he is exhausted. One day, Haruto switches bodies with Haruto-C and discovers ancient magic on Schneider.
Episode 12: “Not a Bad Night”
Luseiannel hosted a welcome party at her mansion, where Iris became drunk and passed out in Haruto-C’s lap. Later, Luseiannel revealed that Iris was studying ancient magic to increase her magic level, as she possessed all six magic elements, but her current level was only 05. Unfortunately, Schneider had plotted with the Lucifyra church to marry his father to Gizelotte and become the new prince and heir to the throne. He feared that Still-Pending would ruin his plans and sent assassins to kill Haruto-C, Iris, and Luseiannel. Haruto overheard Schneider’s plan through a CCTV barrier, captured the assassins, and interrogated them.
